What it means to be "Saved"
means that we believe and trust in Jesus and the blood He shed.

To Be "Saved" Means That We Are "Justified"

To be justified means we are made "right" with God! When God sees us, He doesn't see our sins, He sees the blood of Jesus!

Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through Him! For when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled will we be saved through His life (Romans 5:9-10).

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Him as a propitiation (a sacrifice that would turn aside the wrath of God by taking away sin) through faith in His blood (Romans 3:23-25).

He (Jesus) was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification (Romans 4:25).

God now sees us "just as if we had never sinned!"
We now stand clothed in righteousness before God because we accepted the sacrifice of Jesus.

To Be "Saved" Means That We Are "Born Again"!

God also changed us on the inside!

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come
(II Corinthians 5:17).

Life comes to our spirit! Our spirit is energized with the very Spirit of God! Like five million volts lighting the lamp of our spirit-our spirit is "turned on"!

I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit (John 3:5-6).

But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who lives in you (Romans 8:10-11).
