The Autumn British Bible Conference held at Walthamstow
Assembly Hall refocused our vision as a fellowship in
reaching out to a distressed and desperate world.
Each Pastor ministered the uncompromising Word of God,
highlighting the very urgent need we face today - spreading
the truth of the Gospel to the world.
God is looking for labourers to send to the harvest.
The gift we send these poorer nations are not in Food
Aid or hunger relief funds but our investments are in
couples. Couples who have laboured in their home congregation
by planning and organising outreaches, concerts, holding
bible study classes, winning souls and serving God with
a cheerful heart. These couples who have caught the
vision of world evangelism are sent with that same great
commission given to us by Jesus, “Go ye
into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature”.
At Potters House we believe in preaching the Gospel
without compromising the truth. We believe these nations
need the truth of the Gospel preached and not just food
handouts. Every gift of a couple we send these nations
are gifts that impact far beyond the natural realm.
Hand a poor man a huge sum of money and you will be
making him a rich sinner on his way to Hell. Hand him
the seeds of the Word of God and you will have a man
with a hope and a future.
On Thursday (International Night), Pastor Abdul and
his wife Michelle from the Archway Church were announced
to be planted out to Queenstown, South Africa. This
valuable couple’s labours are greatly appreciated
in the Archway Congregation as well as the entire British
fellowship. They will be deeply missed.
On Friday the final day of the conference, Pastor Sean
Woolmer of Norwich replaced Pastor Julian Mabey from
the Coventry Church. In place of Pastor Abdul and Michelle
Yusuf will be Pastor Kevin and Chanelle Hodges from
the Leeds church. Pastor Jimmy Robinson will be returning
from the Manor Park Church to be based in the Walthamstow
Congregation as an evangelist.
Two of our precious couples from the Walthamstow congregation
were newly made Pastors. Our two beloved couples David
& Claudia Darkwah and Richard & Joy Sampaney
are sadly leaving the congregation on 28th of November
2004 to assume their new positions.
Pastor David Darkwah our former youth leader will be
taking over the Leeds church from Pastor Kevin Hodges.
Pastor Richard Sampaney our former praise and worship
leader will be taking over the Manor Park Church from
Pastor Jimmy Robinson.
We have been thoroughly blessed as a congregation to
have shared our lives and experiences with these couples.
We stand firmly behind them in prayers. As a fellowship
we will continue in our daily endeavours in reaching
lost.
We pray and trust that God will use these couples to
further His Kingdom and the seeds they lay in hearts
of men will remain and grow by the Spirit of God.
